Er ist der Autor mehrerer Kurzgeschichten sowie zahlreicher Rezensionen und Artikel, die u. a. in\u00a0<em>Alien Contact<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Nova<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Pandora<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Phantastisch!<\/em>, im\u00a0<em>Quarber Merkur<\/em> und in <em>Das Science Fiction Jahr<\/em>\u00a0ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurden. Im Shayol Verlag erschien 2012 sein Sachbuch \u00bbPhantastische Literatur aus Afrika\u00ab, welches u. a. dazu f\u00fchrte, dass er 2019 als Special Guest zum d\u00e4nischen Fantasticon nach Kopenhagen eingeladen wurde. Hoffmann verfasste zudem f\u00fcr die Reihe \u00bbSF Personality\u00ab Monographien \u00fcber John Sladek, Fritz Leiber und Robert Sheckley (die beiden letzteren gemeinsam mit Hardy Kettlitz).
